Example : How to Turn On/enable Windows Defender Antivirus in Windows 7/8.1 OS having the message – “Windows Defender is blocked by group policy”.

- Open 'run'- Type 'gpedit.msc' - ok - open 'Computer Configuration' - open
'Administrative Templates' - open 'Windows Components' - click/double click
'Windows Defender' - double click on 'Turn off Windows Defender Property' - select
“Not configured” or “Disabled” - ok - Re-open 'Windows Defender' - Start Now.
NB : Uninstall other antivirus, if any are present in your system to resume Windows Defender successfully.

- Open 'Control Panel' - click 'Windows Defender' - 'Settings' tab - uncheck 'Turn
on real protection (recommended)' - click 'save changes'.
- Reverse the process to Turn ON/Enable or Activate the Windows Defender.

'double click' or 'right click' on it - Select 'Start/Stop' to start or stop the
windows defender service - ok.

- Open 'control panel' - click 'Action Center' - click on 'Turn on Now' from 'Spyware and unwanted software protection' option - ok.
